Al-Nomani Witnesses the Activities of the 16th International Conference About Plastic and Integrative Plastic Surgery for the Treatment of Cleft Lip at Sohag University.

Dr. Hassan Al-Numani, President of Sohag University, witnessed the 16th International Conference about Plastic and Integrative Plastic Surgery for the Treatment of Cleft Lip and Cleft Palate, which was organized by the Department of Plastic Surgery at Faculty of Medicine at Sohag University, in the presence of Dr. Brian Ladd, the famous expert in cleft lip and cleft palate surgeries at the Great Ormond Street Hospital., London, Britain, and a distinguished elite of professors in Egypt and the world, in one of the major hotels in Cairo.

At the beginning of his speech, Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani welcomed the distinguished Egyptian and international scientists participating in the conference, in order to discuss what is new in the treatment of cleft lip and cleft palate.

He explained that Sohag University had organized this conference for the sixteenth year in a row, to produce information and research papers, in addition to reviewing the latest studies and discussing what is new in plastic surgery and integrative medicine for the treatment of cleft lip and cleft palate, and the latest international decisions related to plastic surgery.

Al-Noamani praised the important role played by Sohag University in promoting and activating the scientific research movement, and its diligent keenness to organize and hold events that bring together human minds in various specializations and degrees across the Arab and international spectrum in implementation of the strategy of higher education and scientific research to advance Egyptian universities in the global rankings. .

Al-Numani said that during the conference sessions, a number of important topics will be discussed, including speech pathology for children who suffer from cleft palate, orthodontic surgeries, and the latest methods will be presented to improve speech in children who have cleft lip and cleft palate through specialized operations to improve the inefficiency of the pharynx and speech tract, and discussion protocols. and methods of measuring it, in addition to the primary operations to treat cleft lip and cleft palate and advanced surgeries therein, adding that during the conference, cases that require jaw orthopedic surgeries and new ones in them are presented to the experts, and secondary and new operations for patients with cleft lip and cleft palate are also discussed.
