Prof. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of Sohag University, participated in the monthly meeting of the Supreme Council of Universities, headed by Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Mustafa Refaat, Secretary of the Supreme Council of Universities, and the heads of public universities which was held at the University of Alexandria.
Al-Nomani explained that the minister praised the progress of the Egyptian universities’ ranking in the international ranking, noting the inclusion of 28 Egyptian universities in the British Times ranking for 2024, which includes 1,904 universities from 108 countries around the world, as well as the inclusion of 36 Egyptian universities in the English QS ranking for Arab countries for the year 2024.
