Prof. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of Sohag University, received a delegation from church leaders and representatives of Christian religious denominations in the governorate, to congratulate the university family on the occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Adha, which included Al-Anbaa Bakhoum, Metropolitan of Sohag, Manshah, and Maragha, Reverend Michael, pastor of the Evangelical Church, in the presence of Prof. Abdel Nasser Yassin and Prof. Khaled Omran, Vice President of the University, a number of faculties deans, and Major General Tariq Hafez, Director of University Security, in his office at the old university headquarters.
Al-Nomani welcomed the delegation of churches, expressing his happiness at their keenness to participate with the university family in all religious and social occasions, explaining that this love and affection represented in offering congratulations comes from our understanding of the philosophy of our true religion, and that these holidays are a renewed opportunity to show affection and love between the two poles of the Egyptian nation, and it embodies the most prominent meanings of national unity, peaceful coexistence and fusion
Al-Noamani stressed that President Sisi is always keen to consolidate the principles of citizenship over the past years and affirm the unity of the Egyptian people, which is the first barrier in the face of any conspiracies targeting the homeland.
