Prof. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of Sohag University, stated that the university has achieved remarkable progress this year by joining Shanghai ranking in the field of pharmaceutical sciences, ranked from (301 – 400), and in the field of mathematics, ranked from (401 – 500).
The university president added that Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, has announced the results of the Shanghai ranking of Scientific Specializations report 2023.
This ranking includes the best 5,000 universities in the world, as 28 Egyptian universities were included in this ranking .
Al-Noamani stressed that this achievement comes within the framework of the university’s keenness to meet the requirements of the national strategy of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which was launched in March 2023, and through the university’s research plan, which meets Egypt’s 2030 vision in the fields of higher education and scientific research, adding that the university continues to provide full support for professors and young researchers at the university in all scientific disciplines and humanities, by supporting research projects and providing large financial rewards for distinguished scientific publishing in international publishing houses, through the International Conference for Young Researchers, which is held at the university during the month of March every year.
