For the first time at the level of Egyptian universities “EGAC” renews the Accreditation of the Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and New and Renewable Energy Applications Laboratory at Sohag University

Dr. Hassan El-Nomany, President of Sohag University, announced the renewal of the accreditation of the Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and New and Renewable Energy Applications Laboratory at the Faculty of Technology and Education, by the National Accreditation Council (EGAC), as it was evaluated according to the international standard ISO/IEC 17025:2017.

Dr. Hassan Al-Nomani said that the Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, and New and Renewable Energy Applications Laboratory at Faculty of Technology and Education is the only laboratory that has been accredited by the EGAC at the level of the Egyptian universities, which contributes to linking scientific research with societal needs, through the application of a quality system that is compatible with international and national standards and strengthening and activating the relationship between the Faculty of Technology and Education and the productive community.

From his part, Dr. Ahmed Abdel Rahim, Acting Dean of the faculty, explained that the laboratory tests the energy efficiency of refrigerators manufactured by refrigerator factories and gives it an international certificate accredited by the laboratory.

The laboratory has also been directed to improve the performance of refrigerators and save energy by registering master’s and doctoral degrees to benefit from the unit in the applied research aspect in improving the performance of refrigerators.
