Dr. Hassan El-Nomany, President of Sohag University, participated in the activities of the eighth scout and guidance festival for scouts and guides of the university’s faculties, which was organized by the Scouts and Public Service Department of the General Administration of Youth Care, over the course of 6 days, at the university’s new headquarters, accompanied by Dr. Abdel Nasser Youssef and Dr. Khaled Omran, Vice Presidents of the University, a number of deans of faculties, Dr. Mohamed Kamal, Activities Coordinator, and Dr. Ahmed Atef, Director of Central Youth Care.
During the camp, Al-Nomany praised the team spirit among the students and the cooperation between them, and what he saw of the creativity and manual skills of the festival participants, and the variety of topics they addressed, which proves that Sohag University is full of many aware young people who have a sense of belonging to their country, directing thanks to all the faculties participating in the festival, and their efforts made to come out in this appropriate manner, announcing the establishment of the permanent camp for scouts at the university’s new headquarters.
Dr. Abdel Nasser Youssef congratulated the students participating in the festival, stressing that the students’ participation in the Rover activities contributes positively to promoting the values of volunteering and public service, strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and friendship among them, creating harmony and love among the scouts, in addition to honing the skills of self-reliance, leadership and teamwork.
Dr. Mohamed Kamal and Dr. Ahmed Atef added that the festival was attended by 14 faculties with a total of 200 students, and included a number of competition fields (religious, cultural, artistic, scientific, scouting, spirit and appearance, public service and community development).
