Al-Nomany attends the “Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, and Risks Symposium, organized by Sohag University for its Students

Dr. Hassan El-Nomany, President of Sohag University, attended the educational seminar organized by the university for students under the title “Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things, and Risks.”

The conference was delivered by Dr. Mohamed Beheiry, lecturer at the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence at the Russian University, in the presence of Dr. Abdel Nasser Youssef, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. El-Nemery Khalaf, Dean of Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence, Colonel Mohamed Kamal, Director of the Decent Life Foundation in Sohag, and a number of staff members, staff, and students.

The event was held at the International Conference Center at the university’s new headquarters.

Al-Nomany said that the university is keen to hold such educational seminars for students that address modern technological developments in the world of technology, explaining that artificial intelligence is considered one of the most important technological developments witnessed by the twenty-first century, and it is a revolutionary technology that has the potential to change many aspects of our lives.

Therefore, it was necessary to understand its importance, advantages, and disadvantages, especially since AI is no longer a distant concept, but rather a current reality that affects our choices, drives innovation, and solves challenges that were previously considered impossible

He extended his thanks to Dr. Mohamed Beheiry, the lecturer at the symposium, for his keenness to attend and deliver this important lecture to the students on this topic to keep pace with the rapid developments in this field.

During the symposium, Dr. Mohamed Beheiry explained that artificial intelligence has become a key tool in all sectors, becoming an integral part of our daily lives. He reviewed the definition of artificial intelligence, its beginnings, stages of development, and its advantages and disadvantages and its impact on various fields of work, and how to facilitate them with such efficiency, precision, and unlimited potential. He emphasized that despite its great potential, artificial intelligence can mimic certain aspects of human intelligence, but it lacks human awareness and emotions, humans possess intuition, creativity, and emotional understanding.

 

These are qualities that artificial intelligence cannot emulate.
