Dr. Hassan El-Nomani, President of Sohag University, announced the resumption of the university’s developed bakery in Nasser City, Sohag, after it had been closed for several years, in order to produce the bread needed for all university members and its various sectors, with the aim of achieving self-sufficiency and fulfilling the university’s role in serving the external community.
Al-Nomany added that the bakery is planned to produce 25,000 loaves of fresh bread daily, which will be distributed to university students, the university hospital, staff members and university employees, in addition to distribution to citizens through the sales outlet located in the bakery and designated for citizens.
He explained that the bakery employs a number of workers trained on automatic bread machines.
Al-Nomany stressed that this bakery represents one of the distinguished services provided by the university to its members, to be added to the rest of the service centers at the university, which enable its members to obtain all their basic needs, whether food and consumer goods or services such as the educational bakery at the university’s faculty of Agriculture, which was restarted last January to provide safe and healthy food products.
to serve students, employees, staff members and guests of the university, and an outlet for selling the products of the faculty of Agriculture, through which food products produced by the faculty of Agriculture are offered, including meat, vegetables, fresh fruits, dairy products, eggs and others, at reasonable prices and of high quality.
