Dr. Hassan Al-Noamany, President of Sohag University, announced during his participation in the Supreme Council of Private Universities, headed by Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Reseach, that the Council has approved on the the establishment of Sohag Private University in preparation for the issuance of the Republican Decree, in the presence of Dr. Maher Mesbah, Secretary of the Supreme Council of Private Universities, members of the Council and a group of ministry leaders, at the headquarters of the private education building in the New administrivia capital.
Al-Noamany thanked President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, for his unlimited support for the development of the higher education system, and his keenness to provide the necessary support for the establishment of private universities,
Al-Nomany said that Dr. Ayman Ashour stressed that private universities are ambitious projects that reflect the state’s vision of improving the quality of the educational services and promoting scientific research, adding that the Council approved the establishment of 12 new private universities in the next academic year 2025/2026.
Al-Nomany pointed out that Sohag National University will include 8 faculties, including (Faculty of Medicine – faculty of Pharmacy – faculty of Engineering – faculty of Computers, Information and Artificial Intelligence – faculty of Health Sciences Technology – faculty of Media – faculty of Science – faculty of Languages and Human Sciences).
It is worth noting that the new private universities that were approved are : Cairo National University, Kafr El-Sheikh National University, Sohag National University, Damanhour National University, Suez National University, Damietta National University, Ain Shams National University, New Valley National University, Fayoum National University, Tanta National University, Luxor National University, and Sadat City National University.
