Dr. Hassan El-Nomany, President of Sohag University, witnessed the opening of the first student conference organized by Faculty of Arts under the title \u201cThe Role of Youth in Achieving Egypt\u2019s Vision 2030\u201d, in the discussion hall at the faculty\u2019s headquarters in the new campus, in the presence of Dr. Abdel Nasser Youssef, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Major General Tarek Hafez, Director of University Security, and Dr. Mahmoud Murad.<\/p>\n
The Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, the Vice Deans, a selected group of department heads and staff members, members of the faculty\u2019s administrative staff, a large number of students, and the faculty\u2019s Student Union.<\/p>\n
At the beginning of his speech, Dr. Hassan Al-Nomany expressed his happiness to be among his students at Faculty of Arts and his keenness to participate with them in the first student conference that discussed the role of youth in achieving Egypt\u2019s Vision 2030, which is a very important topic that occupies a large part of the attention of the political leadership, headed by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, due to the Egyptian state\u2019s belief that youth are the beating heart of any development process, investing in youth is an investment in the future, as they are the driving force behind development and advancement for any society. Therefore, the state is adopting ambitious strategies that aim to empower them and enhance their role, to qualify them for pivotal roles in the future, and to participate in decision-making and drawing up development plans, stressing that the youth category is indispensable to achieving Egypt\u2019s Vision 2030, and contribute to the implementation of sustainable development goals and the establishment of the new republic, adding that all state agencies are harnessing their capabilities to support and care for youth, especially those with disabilities, in order to benefit from their distinctive skills and abilities to highlight their creative ideas and innovative projects, formulate them, and transform them into real projects that contribute strongly to driving sustainable economic and social development and growth.<\/p>\n
From his part, Dr. Abdel Nasser Youssef said that the state is making strenuous efforts to develop education, support innovation and entrepreneurship, and expand opportunities for economic and social participation for youth.<\/p>\n
It has also adopted a strategic approach towards developing technical and technological education, considering this as one of the main paths for qualifying youth.<\/p>\n
He explained that the conference is part of a series of student conferences organized by the university to support its students, which reflected a positive image,<\/p>\n
given the distinguished capabilities and expertise of university students, this confirms that Egypt possesses a real pool of active youth, who possess the immense potential to play a significant role in the process of construction and change.<\/p>\n
They are the cornerstone of shaping the nation\u2019s present and future.<\/p>\n
Dr. Mohamed Tawfik expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the University President for his continuous support to all the activities organized by the faculty, explaining that the conference included four scientific sessions.<\/p>\n
The first was entitled \u201cThe Role of the faculty\u2019s Scientific Students in Achieving Egypt\u2019s Vision 2030,\u201d during which the students presented research, articles, and research projects.<\/p>\n
The second was entitled \u201cThe Role of the faculty\u2019s Technical Students in Achieving Egypt\u2019s Vision 2030,\u201d during which poems, paintings, and artistic performances were presented.<\/p>\n
The third session discussed the role of technical and innovative faculty students in achieving Egypt\u2019s 2030 vision, during which students presented innovations and inventions.<\/p>\n
The fourth session, titled \u201cThe Role of faculty Sports Students in Achieving Egypt\u2019s 2030 Vision,\u201d included sports competitions in chess, table tennis, and the Outstanding students were also honored for their outstanding achievements in student and sports activities.<\/p>\n
Dr. Mahmoud Murad pointed out that the students presented 32 scientific research papers during the events.<\/p>\n
The research paper were judged by a specialized committee of staff members, and the winning research papers for the first three places were announced.<\/p>\n
These research papers will be published in the electronic magazine on the university\u2019s website. He added that during the conference activities, a number of student projects were presented to the university president, which were implemented by students of the surveying and mapping programs.<\/p>\n

The marine area and the Special Needs Program, where the university president praised the outstanding level of scientific research presented and its importance in bringing about real progress that contributes to community development, particularly the project presented by students in the Special Needs Program, which is the first program of its kind at the level of Egyptian universities, and which the university is unique in serving students with special needs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
