Board of Directors

The formation of the Board of Directors of the Center is issued by a decision of the Prof/ President of the University – for a period of three years, as follows:

Three assistant professors from the Department of Mechanics (member)

Objectives of the Public Service Center for Training, Driving and Traffic Education

Driving is a skill that requires a high degree of focus, correct timing, and consideration for others. This skill requires learning the principles of driving based on modern scientific foundations. The main objective of this type of education is to enable new drivers to acquire the required skills, to provide them with the principles of sound driving and to help them realize the dangers of the road, and to understand the movement of traffic to save their lives and the lives of others.

Objectives:

Safe training on driving skills for university students and faculty members.

Create an educational and training environment in accordance with international standards for learning preventive safe driving.

To provide the trainee with the skills of preventive and safe driving.

Raising the level of awareness of drivers about the dangers of the road

Establishing a culture of respect for the traffic system in order to preserve the safety of road users.

Granting experience certificates to those wishing obtain accredited certificates after passing the center’s preparatory training programs.

Carrying out a preventive inspection of cars and documenting them according to the request with the stamp of the center.

Preparing driving cadres for different projects through the required training programs by attending courses, lectures and workshops.

Safe and correct training on driving skills for university students and faculty members.

Create an educational and training environment in accordance with international standards for teaching preventive safe driving.

To provide the trainee with the skills of preventive and safe driving.

Raising the level of awareness of drivers about the dangers of the road

Establishing a culture of respect for the traffic system in order to preserve the safety of road users.

Functions of the board of directors

Establishing the internal system of work and defining the terms and duties of the employees.

Approving the rewards and production incentives for the employees of the fund.

Examining the periodic reports submitted on the work progress of the center.

Approval of lease and maintenance according to financial regulations and laws.

Approval of the draft annual budget and final account of the center according to the rules.

Approval of the nomination of national experts and temporary workers from inside or outside the university to implement some of the center’s activities, while adhering to the decree of the Minister of State for Administrative Development No. 24 & 25 of 1997.

Setting financial rules to hold clients from inside and outside the university in accordance with the executive regulations of the Universities Organizing Law No. 49 of 1972.

Establishing rules for concluding contracts for dealing with others

Suggesting the acceptance of gifts and donations that are consistent with the objectives of the center.

Delegating the chairman of the board of directors to some of the board’s powers of urgency, taking into account the provisions of Republican Resolution No. 42 of 1976.
